Accord Cl7 155Hp: what gives the installation of a Full VTEC (from k24a3 or k20 typer) – measurements (Part 2.)

Link to Part 1.

Let us recall the difference between the stock of CL7 and with swapped Full VTEC:

On one graph, the stock of CL7, on the second – CL7 with intalled K24a3 cams with vtc25, stock K24a3 intake and exhaust manifod with catalysc and K24a3 exhaust.

Now customer added VTC50 cam gear, RSP intake manifold and header with decat. After some time of maps tuning on dyne we get great result – 212Hp. Now difference between stock CL7 and Full VTEC CL9 looks like this

So as we can assume RSP intake manifold, VTC50 cam gear and header with decat added good power to this setup, almost 30Hp and 30Nm:

We can confidently say that the best tuning (price/power) for CL7 155 hp is to install a full VTEC with a good intake manifold, VTC50 cam gear, and good header; this added an incredible 60 hp to this car!

P.S. Car has been tuned on a full stock ECU; we used WinOLS with our own maps definition created through reverse engineering. We support eTune of ALL Honda and Acura 2003+ model year (from Civic ’03 with D17 and OKI ECU to MDX or TLX ’23 3.0t with Denso ECU). All models.
