Datalog with HDS: how to?
First you need to download HDS and to install it. After you will need to install drivers for J2534 tool you want to use (it can be Tatrix Openport 2.0, Chipsoft Lite or Mid or any other tool).

Than you need to press “Settings” and choose you J2534 tool
After you need to connect to your car (as example I will show on Accord CU2 )

Next you will see a menu with settings. To record all parameters, we use the trigger type – manual. Recording time from 30 sec to 3 min (30 sec is enough to accelerate from 2000 to redline). Start point from 0 sec.
But the recording speed in this mode is low, so it can be used only for understand the overall picture. For car tuning it is better to use a high-speed recording mode, up to 10 parameters. It’s on the right side of the settings menu.
Press the camera icon to start logging
After log recording will finish you can find log file here: C:\Teradyne\HDS\Stored Files\Automotive\Snapshot\
